FULL DAY LESEDI CULTURAL VILLAGE TOUR

Spend the evening and overnight at Lesedi Cultural Village, which will be an African cultural experience you would never forget. This tour will take you back into the past and at the same time you will enjoy a futuristic experience. Come and explore the traditional Zulu, Ndebele, Sotho, Pedi and Xhosa villages, by watching Lesedi tribal dancers and enjoying a pan African feast with delicacies from north, east and southern Africa. Lesedi, a multicultural village, have five traditional homesteads: Ndebele and their colorful homes; the Xhosa living in their perfectly thatched rondawels with their distinctive white blankets; opposed with the Basotho and their colored blankets; the Pedi with their music of drums and whistles; and last, but not least, the Zulu's with their fighting sticks and cozy beehive huts. Lesedi is situated amongst the pristine bushveld and rocky hills and under an hour's drive north of Johannesburg. Lesedi is full of families living their traditional and peaceful lives. This Sotho word, Lesedi, means "light". A great leader and founder of the Southern Sotho Nation, Moshoeshoe, made Lesedi famous. Refugees from many nations joined him and were saved by him, during the Mfecane wars. Lesedi Cultural Village is waiting for those who are willing to come and participate in an exciting adventure that reveals mystical cultures and traditions of African people. Also learn more about their interesting ancestral traditions. Their culture is the light of the South African nation: "Whoever walks here amongst our cultures at Lesedi can also see the light". Gold Reef City is the most exciting theme park and casino in Joburg. Enjoy fun rides like a trip on a sight seeing train, run-away train and other exhilarating rides to experience in pleasure. Experience a trip down a Gold Mine shaft (children under 5 years old not allowed) to level 5 underground for a guided tour. Also enjoy entertainment by the Siyagida Dancers when visiting the mine manager's house. Go back into history and see how coins were pressed in the past of Johannesburg. Have a visit to 3 period houses and enjoy a stroll through the animal farm, or for something more different, down a few pints at the saloon. Have interesting pictures of you taken in period costumes.
